Social Policy and Research Publications
The Citizens Information Board undertakes social policy research on topics based on the evidence we receive from delivery services - Citizens Information Services, Citizens Information Phone Service, Money Advice and Budgeting Services, National Advocacy Service and Sign Language Interpreting Service. Topics researched are those of particular concern to users of these services and people getting benefits and services in Ireland.
We also engage in research on information, advice and advocacy provision and outcomes for service users and suggest ways of improving the availability and usefulness of citizens information. As part of our role in social policy we publish policy reports and prepare pre-budget and other policy submissions in relation to social policy issues. We produce Social Policy Resources for use by staff in delivery services to promote engagement in social policy work.
