South Munster Citizens Information Service invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified individuals for appointment as a member of its board of directors.

Citizens Information Services (CIS) are companies that provide information, advice and advocacy to members of the public in relation to their rights and entitlements. Services are provided on a drop-in basis, via phone, letter/email, or other channels. There in a network of Citizens Information Centres and outreach locations right across Ireland. South Munster Citizens Information Service (SMCIS) is a regional company with responsibility for service delivery in the counties of Cork and Kerry. Our services are delivered through a network of twelve local centres. The company is governed by a voluntary board of directors.

SMCIS is seeking to recruit four individuals to join our board, which is made up of committed and experienced volunteers from across the voluntary, community and public sectors. The board plays an important role as the governing authority for the organisation. We would particularly welcome applications from individuals with experience in the following areas:

• Service Management
• Corporate Governance
• Accountancy/Financial reporting
• Information Technology
• Risk Management
• Law
