Leaving School: All you need to know guide from Citizens Information

The Citizens Information Board has published the new 2023 edition of the booklet Leaving School – A guide from Citizens Information.

Leaving school is an exciting time for young people and this CIB booklet looks at options for further education and training.

The booklet also provides a range of information for young people on starting work, employment rights, online safety, health services, social welfare services and more.

It answers practical questions school leavers may have on topics like financial supports for full-time PLC students or third-level undergraduate students, renting a place to live, registering to vote and managing your money.

It also includes the legal minimum age for a range of activities.

Copies of the booklet in English and Irish are distributed to post-primary schools nationwide.
