Launch of Financial Readiness For Life online course in ATU Galway

The Citizens Information Board (CIB) is delighted to announce the launch of a new online course aimed at helping students and young people to develop practical financial skills that will support them through college and into future employment.

The Financial Readiness for Life course is part of a collaboration project between Atlantic Technological University (ATU) and the Money, Advice & Budgeting Service (MABS). The course has been developed to assist students in taking control of their financial wellbeing by learning how to budget and keep track of their finances.

The course covers five key learning outcomes:

A launch event took place on Friday 07 March 2025 on the ATU Galway Campus and included speakers from ATU and MABS, and provided a comprehensive overview of the course. This course has wide applicability to third level students in higher education institutions across the country. The course is available for reuse from Atlantic Technological University.
