Budget 2025 on citizensinformation.ie
Over 200,000 unique visitors visited citizensinformation.ie as Budget 2025 was announced on Tuesday, 1 October 2024 – an increase of 17% on Budget Day 2023. This is almost 5 times more than the visitor daily average.
By that evening, the Budget 2025 page and our new social welfare rates page saw almost 40,000 page views and the citizensinformation.ie website had just under 400,000 page views – 3 times more than a normal day.
Citizens Information social media channels pushed out over 27 updates across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to inform people about the major Budget Day announcements. Our channels saw over 64,500 impressions (a 128% increase on Budget Day 2023) and a high engagement rate from over 50,000 followers (+7.1% increase on Budget 2023).
Our best performing Budget posts on Facebook included:
- Budget news for Parents with a reach of 2,400 and engagement of 16,000
- Highlights for Carers with a reach of 8,000 and engagement of 1,900
- Budget Key points with a reach of 7,800 and engagement of 1,700
